Reveal changed the way I edit photographs.  When I bought Reveal, I already knew how to use most of the tools in Photoshop.  I had done a lot of reading and studying, and I wasn't totally new to editing.  But I wasn't getting my style exactly right.  I had tried some actions here and there, but I wanted to learn to do it myself so that I could go in my own direction and really take control of the images I wanted to make.  Reveal was a huge step in that process.  By following along with Jackie as she edits in her style, I was able to learn some of her tricks and, more importantly, figure out how she problem-solved and enhanced the best parts of an image.  I still go back to Reveal from time to time for a refresher, and when I'm stumped, Reveal is where I start, especially for black and whites.  My images don't look like Jackie's images, and although Jackie's images are among the most breathtaking in the business, I am happy that mine look like mine.  That was what Reveal gave to me: the ability to create the way I want to.

Thank you, April"   When I first discovered Jackie Jean's work on ilovephotography.com, I was immediately drawn to it. At the time, I was only using Lightroom, and I remember sending a link to Jackie's work to another photog I admired asking how I might accomplish similar editing only in LR. I can't tell you how excited I was when only a few weeks later I found out Jackie, herself, was going to offer mentoring. The weeks I spent under Jackie wing were incredibly eye-opening. I had very limited experience editing in photoshop, and she opened up a whole new world to me. I can easily say that this was the best investment in my photography that I could have made. She is kind, encouraging, funny, creative and simply has an incredible eye. Numerous photog friends of mine have told me that my work has grown immensely in the last couple of months, and I know (and freely tell them) that this is largely due to the time I spent with Jackie. I feel tremendous gratitude for the time she gave me and her generosity.
